이 규섭 원장(부산대 산부인과 명예교수)은 난임관련 생식내분비 학술지인 Molecular Biology Reports 에서 심사요청된
비스파틴이 난소 및 자궁의 기능 조절에 관한 논문 심사 공로로 Molecular Biology Reports 로 부터 감사서한을 최근에 받은 바 있다.
비스파틴의 난소부전(조기폐경) 치료 효과에 관한 특허권자(대한민국 특허청 특허 제 10-1912720 호)인 이 규섭 원장은
임신이 불가능한 고령 생쥐의 난소기능 및 임신능력 회복에 있어 비스파틴의 긍정적인 효과를 세계 최초로 입증하였다.
이 규섭원장의 비스파틴에 관한 연구 논문 " Role of visfatin in restoration of ovarian aging and fertility in the mouse aged 18 months "
(2020 ; 27(2) : 681-689 )도 2020년 2 월에 발간된 SCI 급 학술지인 Reproductive Sciences(SCI IF: 2.6)에 게재되었어며,
또한 이 원장의 연구 결과가 세계적인 시험관아기시술 관련 SCI 급 국제학술지인 Human Reproduction 에서 인용된 바 있다.
이 규섭 원장은 지난 35년간 부산대병원 난임센터장으로 재직하였으며, 주 연구분야는 체외수정시술, 조기폐경 및 고령 여성의 임신율 증진,
자궁내막증 및 자궁선근증 이다.
